Boeing asked customers to look for loose bolts on 737 Max aircraft.

The American aircraft manufacturer has asked customers around the world to check Boeing 737 aircraft models for a loose bolt in the structure. According to CNBC , an unnamed international airline was the first to identify the problem. Then the aircraft manufacturer discovered a bolt with a missing nut in one of the airliners that had not yet been sold.

Therefore, Boeing asked operators to check that the bolts in the rudder control system were OK. According to company representatives, such a check will take no more than two hours, and Boeing, for its part, promises to check each new aircraft before shipment to the customer.

Let us add that the Boeing 737 Max is one of the most problematic models in the company’s line. After two plane crashes in 2018 and 2019 in Ethiopia and Indonesia, where a total of 346 people died, the use of 737s was suspended for two years. As it turned out during the investigation, both crashes occurred due to an error in the MCAS program, which was supposed to automatically counter the dangerous lifting of the aircraft’s nose.
